Black Lives Matter: The Library Shop's Summer Reading List

Black Lives MatterSummer is the time to catch up on what we should be reading, and the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement creates an opportunity to create a dialogue around many of the issues BLM are asking us to address. The Library Shop believes there is no better place to spark this dialogue than inside the pages of a book, so we've compiled a list of some important Black voices, both classic and contemporary. Many of these authors have visited the Library Shop for past events and two of our favorites—Tomi Adeyemi and Brit Bennett—are San Diego locals.
